So it was marked "delivered" 3 days ago. Looks like the seller is an Aliexpress scammer. I've noticed the tracking information changing "delivery failed due to recipient changing delivery time" to "delivered". If I get a refund (and I always do) I'll order one from another seller. Still interested in comparing the obviously cheap casting against an original.

Mine arrived yesterday after two weeks.
    Very well made.
Compared it to an OEM plastic and identical.
Placed it on to a 3.0 V6 from an RRS sitting in the workshop (which had thrown a rod at 104,000 klms almost certainly because the previous service person changed the oil filter but not the "O" ring which caused a massive oil leak and the owner's wife driver was unaware of the oil leak and noise...) and it fits perfectly with everything lining up ok.
Very impressed and definitely the way to go due to cost and presumably long life.

My guess is that this component and the alloy inlet manifolds are made by same company, the castings have that "look" about them.

Let’s hope the alloy used is a good spec. If it is they’ll do well

I can’t see the item from the previous link. Can you confirm exactly the link you ordered please?

Are the items on Aliexpress that look like they are LR original parts fakes or real?

I used the link which LoanRangie provided on page 1 of this post.
But I see there are quite a few on E-bay which to me seem legit.

Oooh have you tried the alloy inlet manifolds before or just fitted to the same engine that's on the floor?

What a great idea to replace plastic with alloy engine components...

I just ordered one of these outlets.

I haven't tried the alloy manifolds, they became available after I'd replaced mine with the latest Genuine LR ones.
Mine didn't leak (at 190,000 klms) but I was about do do a 12,000 klm mainland caravan trip last June and I wanted to eliminate potential probs whilst away.
Otherwise I'd have definitely used the alloys 'cos I've since seen two other engines with them; they have been using them for some months now and no probs.
I've had a good look at them prior fitment and they are nicely made.
As the alloys become more popular I'll bet the price goes up, best to get in now 'cos they are dirt cheap.

    "Original " : $84.75
    "Copy" : $15.89

Near enough to genuine price I'd rather buy from a UK based supplier.

In other news, I've placed another order for an alloy one, so let's see if this one makes it. Got a refund on the last "no show".

    Yes completely agree...

if its not genuine, its a Britpart or one of their brands which includes Allmakes.
Britpart (as you and others are aware) make good parts, OEM parts and rubbish parts.
