I'd go through Patrick at GAP to recode keys it takes a few days because of time difference. You will need one working key to start the process of coding another. I just bought 2 new fobs of ebay for $40 each and they work fine.
Hi Folks, just paid $400 to Mr Minit for a 2nd key fob on the wife's 2015 D4 earlier today, but find now that only the drivers door and tailgate open with either key. Others wont open at all, locks wont cycle from the interior lock buttons. I assume his scan tool has put the car into some kind of hard lock and before I go back to see if he can reset it (which I doubt) can I use my GAP IID tool to reset it? I'll disconnect the battery when I get home to see if that makes a difference. Car starts and drives ok. Thanks Dave

I realise it is the D4 but the D3 can be programmed to open the drivers door (single point entry p32 owners manual) or open all doors. Is that a D4 feature too?
Cheers, Dale

I went back to see Mr Minit at Hallett Cove today and he had success after two more goes at programming the new key and my original key which seemed to have gotten programmed out also. Funny thing was that it seemed like the door locks were still disabled, and we planned to try again tomorrow, but as I drove out of the carpark the doors locked as they usually do at about 20kph, and when I got back to my office 5 mins away I checked and both keys were fully functional - go figure! I can only assume the car needed to be driven to complete the program. I can't fault Andy's dedication and tenacity to keep working at it. My next step would have been my local indy which is TRS (who I probably should have gone to first.) I was paranoid because of stories about D4's getting totally disabled, but all good it seems! Phew!
Unfortunately while I have an IID BT G3 tool, the advanced licence is for our D3 and the 2nd licence for this D4 is limited to reading fault codes and live values, not key programming.

If by second license you mean you have paid for an additional license for your D4 then the gap tool should have the same functionality for both cars. The gap tool can read faults on any car without additional license but has limited functionality.
