    Cargo Barriers

    Hi All,
I have this vague feeling that someone has started a similar thread. I haven't found it and so it may have not been D3 specific.

I am looking to fit a cargo barrier to my D3. My initial thought was to obtain a Milford barrier. Looking at the ARB catalogue, there is no listing for such a barrier.

Thinking that the ARB catalogue might be a bit dated, I accessed the Milford site & found a diagram of a barrier for the D3, but with NO product No.

It looks like Milford are intending to produce a barrier for the D3, but have yet to succeed (& this is about 2.5 yrs since the D3 was released in Oz).

Does anyone have any recent info re the Milford barrier? Further, any info on alternatives would be appreciated.

    Many Thanks,

    Bushwanderer,

Milford do one why don't you call to get a price and part no.

    Milford Industries

Another option is Autosafe (I have one of theirs but was custom made to fit my drawers). I bought it via 4x4 Intelligence phone 0419 378 981 or email questions@4x4intelligence.com.au

    Hi Scouse,
I have heard about this barrier, but have been given to believe that it is more a dog barrier than a cargo barrier. Is that info wrong?

    Hi Chris,
Thanks for the feedback. It looks like Milford's website is not up to date.

As you suggest, I will contact both Milford & 4x4 Intelligence.

    Yes, that info is wrong.
Landrovermick had the first one made fitted to his "work" car a while ago & it is a proper cargo barrier.

The original LR 'Dog Guard' was not available in Aust due to it not being AS certified. That's probably where the confusion comes from.

With a cargo barrier, what happens with the rear seat airbags. Surely a problem??

There's no problem with the second row airbags.

The third row seats are not to be occupied with the barrier in place. In fact, If I wanted to raise my third row, i'd have to remove the barrier, lift the seats and then re-install the barrier.

    Hi Jamo & Forest,
I know that your comments re; cargo barriers & air bags for third row seats have a general application but, being self-centred, my D3 S is only a 5-seater (& perhaps will spend most of its life as a 2-seater.
