well there you go dealer servicing at its best,
get stuck with the highest rices for the smallest jobs.
But you have to go there as it may void the warranty, ( i think thats what the fine print says in the mrs;s toyota book)

Paid $237 for first service
Oil and filter was $95 , rest for labour and GST.
There are huge Dealer price differences;ring around .
The 2 year service on the V8 was about $350 until I reminded them I was on the corporate plan and it should have been $0.
Didn't need the brake pads, which was a nice surprise.

Just to add....
1st change of Front & Rear pads and brake fluid flush @ 40,000kms = $515
Totally agree with others, in that there is huge price diff between dealers, so ring around...
eg Wheel alignment - $220 vs $140 from ULR & MLR respectively!
DiscRotors should not need to be replaced. They can be machined. This is a common form of overservicing by some stealers.
Get a quote and check other dealers.
Don't know what standard service costs as I get them free (LR corporate program)oh and a free loan car.

I have just had my 72k service and it was about $400. I get about 50k out of my tyres which includes off road and suburban. The D3 doesn't seem to have the large and expensive 40k-80k service costs of the D1's and D2's. My average service cost has been about $400. The 60k was $300 but at a non dealer Landy place. I changed my own pads at 60k, cost for pads $235 front and rear, still on original rotors. Pollen filter $55 from local ex dealer. I was told that you can't machine D3 rotors, will check that out. regards garryc
Should have been clearer, I am aware there is a minimum thickness and they will need to be replaced at some point.
I have gone through three sets of pads and no new discs. I know of others who have been told they need new discs; "No sir we never machine discs."
One I know of went to another dealer and they machined them and said they had plenty of meat on them.
You won't know if you're being ripped off unless you get a micrometer and check.
Does anyone know if DBA are making the D3 pads yet. It is on there site but I heard they wern't in production yet.
