Digging up this old post on fitting driving lights to a D3.
What are the benefits of fitting/using the factory loom and switch?
Obviously there is a benefit to landrover in the form of $$$ from my pocket to theirs but what are they giving me in return?

None, Yes and nothing apart from a nice factory switch.

I just have my driving lights wired up so the relay is activated from the +ve side of the high beam. Some states require an additional switch but I've never had to fit one yet.

Hi Trobbo, I'm with you, but it does sound like too much trouble. What are they asking for to get the LR loom and switch, and is it beyond us mortals to wire it up without frying anything ?

I'm not looking to use the LR lights though. They remind me of the old Lucas fogs with the yellow lenses. ( although I should have collected a few looking at what they are going for on the net )
