FL2 is the same, did I hear right that you can't buy the equivalent matching plug in Australia?

memory is VERY vague but IIRC they were very similar to the standard 7 pole plug/socket...... havent even looked at one since 1998 and didnt pay too much attention then either

After searching high and low over her, my old man bought plugs from somewhere in the UK and had them shipped over here for his D3 to use with his trailers.

You now can buy the plug via a LR dealer, (Also i would assume any hella stockist would be ale to get the matching end).
LR Mid last year released the part to spares for people who wish to use it!
    (In some way or another??)
    Cheers

Call me chicken, but I haven't tried the dealers for the plug to fit the white socket. Unsuccessful at autoelecs, (BTW the white and black plugs are NOT interchangeable.)

As I am running caravan power from my auxiliary battery via 50A Anderson plugs (thanks drivesafe ;-)) I'll probably remove the white socket as it's superfluous.

    Best Wishes,
    Peter

I changed the white plug to a standard trailer plug and wired it up to a "Pulse Shunt" box, this allows the use of LED trailer lights without the annoying constant flashing caused by the test pulse that makes sure the globes havent blown. The only downside is that i will have to work out how to disable the Pulse Shunt so that the Disco doesnt think there is always a trailer connected. So if i use LED trailer lights i use the left socket, if i use a trailer with globes i use the right socket. Keep the anderson plug for caravan power.

    Hi Lindsay,

How did you wire in the “Pulse Shunt” box to the Disco 3 as I was about to post a question as to wether this possible?

Do the white and black plugs shear the same wiring or are they totally independent of each other?

Did you work out how to disable the “Pulse Shunt” Box so the system doesn’t think there is a trailer attached permanently?

I just found which was +/- on the white plug and used a large 7 pin round with the middle pin out of it, then wired that to an andersen plug and thats what I use to charge the battery on the camper trailer.

As for the black plug, I just went to Super Cheap and bought an adapter for a large 7 pin round to a small 7 pin round and its all worked a treat. This of course is on a D4 which as far as I'm aware doesn't need a shunt box for trailers with LED lights
