Hi Everyone,
I'm new here. I'm back in a Landrover after 15 Years.
I learnt in a Series 2 which I had for years. It was my desire to break the 90kmph barrier that ended in me switching to Jap brands.
I took my wife looking for a car the other day and I pursuaded her to take a look at the new Disco 3; and guess what!
So I'm back and loving it.
My question is, can you get the suspension on the Disco 3 to drop when you turn it off and raise back up when you turn it on.
It's just that it's a great height for the kids to get in and out of when it's down.
This threads probably been done many times over but I can't find it in the search bar.
Anyway, If anyone can help that would be great.
Cheers,
Mark

Press the switch to lower the suspension to select access height. It will resume normal height soon after you get moving again.

Don't you have to be in Park with the handbrake on, foot off the brake and all doors closed to activate the low access mode. Same as my Rangie.
Good point,
All doors must be closed. The hand brake does not "have" to be applied & you dont "need" to be in park either.

You can also program the key fob to do this.
Unless it has changed. if you hold down to activate access height....it will lock in...then it is locked in access...until as such time you activate by raising it...or start driving and when over 15kms it will raise itself,

No, you cannot get the vehicle to lower when you turn it off or raise when you turn it on.
Engine needs to be running, doors closed. You cannot make this an automatic feature. Full manual control at the switch. The key fob does not do this, unless you have emergency flashers going. Not a lot of point in my opinion. Maybe if you were hooking up trailers all day I could see a point. Better to have the fob programed to open the back door, or work the panic alarm.
You soon get used to hitting the switch as you cruise into a park. Becomes second nature after a while.
Definately "lock" the suspension in access height if in an underground car park or anywhere with limited head space.

SupporterMy D3 certainly lowers itself after I switch it off !!!
Scared the crap out of me the first time it did it when I was standing next to the passenger door. Doesnt do it straight away though. After key is removed and doors shut.

The D3 re-level's itself at certain intervals. One of those is a couple of minutes after shutdown. Some people also note that the Disco Farts, whilst settling a corner or two.
It is really interesting to be sitting at the lights, and all of a sudden one corner of the car drops a couple of inches! So it might be stationary as a trigger as well.
Cheers,
