    Lights and Horns

Gidday, have a 09 D3, great truck however one nagging problem that I was wondering if anyone else out there has, yep its electrical, the ghost of Lucas, he does live!

So evertime I turn the lights to the Auto setting and only after a short drive, the horn goes off , the only way you can turn it off is to set the light switch to normal, turning the light switch to the off position just sets the horn off again, then you need to remove the fuse to shut it up. Next day you can put the fuse back in and as long as you dont set the lights to auto then all is ok.
So other than those who suggest I leave the auto setting alone, can anyone suggest a repair because the dealer has tried...

I have an '07 SE and my 2 work mates have 2 month old '09 TDV6 SE's. Never heard of the problem you're having. You could try the UK forum.

    Hi Briesey,
Are there any extra's fitted to the vehicle, bluetooth kit, ipod lead etc, that was fitted by another party?

Also have u tried to swap over the switch pack, maybe faulty?? not sure, simple to remove just grab hold of the whole corner & pull away from the dash, stubborn but firm.
Another possibilty CJB..lets try the easy things first.

It would be good to start with a complete software reload first.
There isn't any wiring between horn and light relays that could
"just move" to cause this .......... Leave it with 'em until fixed , and
get a loaner too. They can email Gaydon for advice .

    Problem Solved!

All just closing out this problem which was solved by the dealer fitting a new light/horn/wiper module that lives behind the steering wheel, so if your horn goes off while your lights are on auto, just toss the module...
