I'm in the same boat. Lease is up in April but I'll have to hang on for another couple of years and get one second hand.

I am hoping they are going to do the same with the D4 2.7 TDV6 as they did with the D3 V6....... that is after a few years the SE spec will come as standard.

That said, I think Land Rover are going to feel it in sales. My perception on the road is that the majority of sales are the V6 SE, and with no simliar vehicle in the D4 line up, those are all gonna be Prados or Pajeros when the leases are up. But then maybe that is their plan..... makes the D4 more exclusive..... pity though.......

Without the 4.0 petrol $64k job , sales will vaporize .
They're not going to get 90 grand out of me for a LandRover.
To many drivers , they're just a 4 wheel drive and someone elses
make will do fine when the time comes ..........

According to the original post the D4 2.7 TDV6 comes it at $68k (assuming that is on the road) $4k is not huge.......

The big deal is $64k got you the SE spec, which your $68k doesn't any more.... and I kinda like the V6 petrol as a motor...... all in all, very sad......

I was in at a dealer on Saturday, for a 2.7 D4 with
    Leather
    7 seats
    Sat Nav
    Black
    Good Lights
& a few other things they wanted $85k on the road.

I am very happy I bought my 09 TDV6 SE with diff lock when I did.

Significant amount of money less (could by a new 4 cyl car).

    Regards

    Chuck

    Compare

Take a look at the pre-salestax US prices vs. the pre-sales/import/state tax prices here. ( LandRover USA site ) . We're getting totally screwed
by LRA , who don't offer free service or non-business finance either.

I'm starting to think that I may have shot myself in the foot when I passed-up the opportunity to get one while LR was offering good discounts. I'll know for sure before too long.

LR do screw us here, but they are not alone, all of the major cars partiiculalry at the top end are very overpriced here in comparison.

I have it on good authority that BMW Australia has the highest margins of any country in the world.

I also am very happy that I did a great deal on my TDV6 SE in June this year. I may buy a D4 at some stage but not until the bugs have been worked out and probably when they are doing a mid model update and they are running out the current model.
