Even if it is "just" out of warranty, I would be approaching a dealer & seeing what they say.
Failing that, the options are limited:
Get one from a wreckers
or
Get used to it...![]()
Early on, it was a cluster replacement job but I believe it's a download repair now.
Check with your friendly dealer.

I had the wheel buttons installed and use a BlueAnt BlueTooth (with call-
announcement AUS129) which I transfer between vehicles and
also Rentals too .
May I also recommend the BlueAnt, and in particular the S1. What makes this one different is that it can connect to 2 mobiles simultaneously (eg both my mobile and my wife's mobile) with the last one connected being the "primary" - the default one for which the keys on the unit directly control (You can swap which one is primary by holding down a button). The technology is called bluetooth multi-point technology.
This differs from most others which can only connect to one at a time, and if more than one in it's memorised list is present, it only connects to the most recent one.
Eg my wife uses the car most weekdays, but when I am driving on the weekend (with her there or not) and a call comes in for either of us, the unit will still function and I can answer. Another application is if you have a personal mobile and a work mobile in the car at the same time.
I picked mine up a year ago off eBay for around $AUD90. I notice the same unit is now available in Dick Smith.
