				My extinguisher is mounted in front of the driver's seat on the floor.  It's well secured.   From experience, I can assure you that when you need an extinguisher you will need it FAST, and I mean fast so I would not mount one in the rear cargo area.  The rear side door is another good location.  A fire blanket is also a good idea as a secondary assist.
If ever you get an engine fire just crack the bonnet open far enough to get the ext under it, spray, and hope.  Don't open the bonnet wide as the rush of air means you'll instantly regret it.
