RRS Cargo Space - side panels

In the RRS cargo space the passenger side, side panel is indented out to give a bit more space, albiet not all that usable. On the drivers side the panel is not indented out and has an access hatch - I assume there is something in there (but I cannot see what) that takes up a bit of space and requires access.

Can someone tell me what is in there that requires this space and access hatch.

    Thanks

There are various ECUs, etc... Tucked up in there.

The DVD player for the RSE system sits in the space on the drivers side. That is why the space is rather large.
The access hatch is there to be able to put in DVD's to watch.

    Cheers

Thanks - so really is wasted space - I currently have my emergency stash of dunny paper stored there.
