If you've had the full monty in one hit I can understand a dealer charging that. Based on my memory of what I've read here, the following is roughly what you could pay for things at a dealer.
    - belts 1600
    - auto service 1200
    - rear & rear air bags 2800 (700/corner?)
    - compressor 1000
    - suspension 1500
    - basic service 600

    Adds up to about $8500.

    Hi Ronmarg,

Sorry to hear of your troubles after all your refurbishments, however there is probably more pain to come. The standard battery is a pyrotechnic type, it features a protection for all the on-board computers, this involves permanent internal severing of power when the battery detects a short circuit, this is what generally happens with an alternator breakdown, so you may need a new battery as well.

Mine died a month ago with my car inside Bunnings timber shed with trailer connected as I was picking up ply sheeting it was a Friday at 4.30pm, Nearest LR dealer said they would not have another alternator till Tue-Wed so I phoned MR Auto and a new alternator was shipped which arrived Monday afternoon approx $600 but new battery was $500 from LR as Landrover Assist took car to nearest LR dealer, fitting and clearing faults was another $300-$400.
