At the risk of hijacking the thread, does anyone find the larger brakes bad for picking up stones as discussed? I seem to be forever giving the shields a shove to clear stuff out. Maybe the 5 spoke alloys are part of the issue but at least they make it easy to get my hand in there!

Only happened with mine once - just popped it in reverse and backed up for about 5m and it came out. Same used to happen with my Puma.

Im going to go completely outside what everyone else is suggesting - only based off one of my previous experiences. A few months after buying my D3 I started noticing a high pitched "squeak" coming from the drivers front. Was only occurring while going over bumps etc. I could get it to squeak in the driveway by moving the car by hand, however it was only when moving the suspension heights that it gave a longer "squeak". Turned out I had a leaking airbag that was only getting exposed in certain strokes of the airbag and the steak was just an air leak. New complete strut assemblies sorted that out

    Anti Sway Bar bushes

Have you checked your front sway bar rubbers? I just had to change mine for the same sort of noise, only $15 each front Land Rover

    Hi Shane,

Raising and lowering the car makes no noise. A good one to hear about. Thanks.

I do wonder if it is the front sway bars bushes.

Asked the question to get the experience of members to try and save time on diagnosis. This also helps others when they have issues.....search being a friend for the future!

    ok....bit more of an update.

Jacked car up under the spring. Could here air coming out of the top.

    Guessing that is not normal.

So, my thinking is the spring is leaking...and time for new spring.

Where is the best place to get one..or two?

Have to send to Australia too!

    Chilly
