Might be the turbo actuator? What was happening at the time of the fault and what are the fault codes?
I experienced the "reduced performance" message at the weekend, followed by an amber engine symbol. The dealer recommended that it get towed for them to fix/investigate. (it had the major four year service the previous week!)
It got to them on Monday.
It's now Wednesday and I'm now being told that it might be the Turbo Actuator.
I have an extended warranty through National Warranty - sold with the car from the Range Rover Dealer. They're now saying that the actuator won't be covered.
They're currently getting me a price
What's everyone else's experience with this?
And any likely cost?

Don't have the codes, but they pointed the mechanics to the turbo actuator.
At the time of the initial "reduced performance " message, I was pulling away from the lights, and the engine symbol came on a couple of kms later.
The garage have since told me that changing the solenoid (that activates the actuator) seems to have fixed the problem.
$1600 rather than $3500 for replacing the actuator.
Good result?

They seemed to have been on the right track if the problem is resolved though still quite a few coins.
