    none that I know of.

Perhaps try contacting the guys at 4x4 Intelligence in Melbourne to see if they have any plans for one.

I got the rear bar/carrier for my P38a Rangie done as part of a limited run a couple of years ago when we got about a dozen people together who wanted them. They might be open to a similar job for L322's?

    Cheers, Paul.

    L322 Rear Wheel Carrier

    Hi,

Have you had any success finding a rear wheel carrier for your L322, I am also in Perth with an 04 and having no luck.
I have sent off many emails to manufacturers with most not even replying.
Also having similar luck in trying to find a snorkel.

    Regards

    Tunny

Doesn't look like it. I can't see why you couldn't get one made - the only reason may be lack of mounting points under the bumper - I've never checked. Maybe you could get a custom mount fabricated, then use some bits from Rijidij - check out his website - Home - Rijidij Off Road to finish it off? He is happy to sell individual bits to make up wheel carriers - I bought a few bits and pieces off him to do the one on my 86 Rangie.

I have a design in mind, but not a conventional carrier. I want to mount one on the TOP tailgate, and upgrade the gas struts. A reinforcing frame will have to be fitted to the tailgate mounting points to stop putting too much load on the tailgate itself.

I don't like the way the rangie carriers always look like an afterthought, sticking out and verticle, but if it is angled to suit the rear of the car, and fitted close to the car, it will look factory, well almost.

You have bad vision through the rear window anyway, and you can always install a camera.

Would anyone else be interested in this design, it would be far cheaper than the ones ORI did for the p38 a few years ago ($2800).

I like the idea Andrew, and I agree that wheel carriers look a bit strange on the Rangies, but I'm not sure how you would go about it. There isn't much meat at the bottom of the tailgate to attach things too, and the glass runs from side to side, with the supports behind it, so not sure how you could beef them up. If you have some ideas, and want to have a crack, keep us posted, I think it would be quite an interesting project.

Like this? I apologise for the 3rd pic. I think it is the mount under the body. An L322 owner might be able to identify the area - that looks like the exhaust pipe. I took these pics at the LR 60th in Cooma in 2008.
