On a trip way out west ( can’t remember which state ) I was in open drought country, and all you could see, horizon to horizon were the roadside guide posts so I wound the RR out to 160, put the cruise control on a sat at 160 for just over 20 minutes.

The fuel gauge moved from half full to next to nothing in that 20 minutes and the first town I came to, I filled up and even though it was only a 20 minute dive, my fill averaged 14+L/100.

One thing I also found, as Garrycol asked about, the rr computer always should about a 10% higher fuel use average than was the case.

I also pushed my 07 RR on one trip and in one 120km section I averaged 149.9 KPH, getting up to 180 in a few places and slowing down to overtake.

The computer never showed a consumption higher than 11.6L/100 ( again, I can’t remember which state in was in )
Not the State of being ****.. i hope

my 2003 3 litre bmw l322 averages 11.4 lt/100 over city and country driving, staying at the speed limits.
From other posts here, it would seem to be a little high???

    L322 BMW POWERED 3L DIESEL

Thanks all. Mine seems to get around 11.4 l/100k. Now as this is my thread I am going to hijack it and change the subject. How touchy is your auto box. Mine drops back 1 or 2 gears at the slightest touch of the accelerator. It will not pull in top. Is this normal or can I have the change points adjusted in the ecu? Jim

No issues with wild change downs on mine after 130,000Kms, but I have changed the trans oil & filter (as it was getting a bit of a vibration up at idle when in drive). How many KMs on yours? Ever changed the trans oil?

Mine has just turned 128,000k The auto box was fully rebuilt (I don't know why) by the previous owner who had it from new The auto kicks back too easily I think. It has trouble holding in 5th at 60 k/h on the flat, and any pedal pressure sends it back to 4th or 3rd. Can this kick-down point be remapped in ecu. Jim
