    One of a Kind?

    Folks,
I just purchased a L322 Vogue and it previous owner was teling me about his famous Range Rover .Its a two door and from what we can tell , its the only one of its kind in Australasia.

I thought you all may be Interested. Its an absolute cracker. Some details and photos for your enjoyment

Please see details of history from owner
This 1973 Range Rover was bought new when it was a display vehicle at the Earl’s Court Motor Show. It was displayed with the ‘Doormobile’ roof conversion. The original roof is cut and reinforced to allow access to two fold out beds at roof level simply accessed by stepping up from the rear seat back. The internal roof is lined and fitted with air vents and lighting. It came supplied with clip on curtains to ensure privacy in the seating area.

A Brisbane lady purchased it whilst in London to use in Brisbane when she towed her horse float to horse show meetings.

The current owner acquired it in 1976 with just 9,000 miles on the speedo. It has been used extensively to tow classic MG’s all around Australia plus numerous trips to Double Island Point, Fraser Island, North Stradbroke Island and many bush venues.

It has travelled over 500,000 miles (800,000kms) and is currently on its fourth engine (4500cc), third gearbox and second diff but still on original disc rotors. It was resprayed four years ago.

There are no rust issues with the vehicle which recently completed a trouble free excursion to Port Douglas. The Birdsville Track was the original target but weather conditions made this inadvisable, bit it is still on the agenda.

I wonder if it is the same one I saw in Cooma at the LR 50th. I had better check my photos.....

    ...... done.

No, the vehicle I have pics of is different. It has a different paint scheme, pop top, and interior.
