Attempt to Prolong Life of L322 GM Box

I have canvassed my idea (to "Sonnax" the valve control block) with Bemble (RR Phil) See LR UK forums thread "L322 Gearbox Required Urgently". I am tempted to go ahead with this. However I need to find an auto mech (in Australia - ideally in Vic) with experience in the GM box (and also ideally has used the Sonnax kit). Can anyone make a recommendation either from their own direct experience or otherwise ?

A couple of options that I can recommend. In Victoria - Chris from Airport Automatics in Tullamarine - does a lot of GM trannies in Commodores which are essentially the same box, or a bit further afield Rhys - RoverNova on this forum knows them inside out and does plenty in high end stuff - Rangies and BMW's - but is in Sydney. Both know about the Sonnax valve bodies but don't do the upgrade locally due to the cost of tooling to set up. You can get a changeover valve body out of the States for a decent price and get someone local to screw it in for you.

    Cheers - Gav
