Thread: Transfer Case and Diff service interval?

    Too right!

    What were your diffs like? My front was not good, better than the TC but well over due. Rear looked and smelt like brand new could see the bottom of the drain pan with bit over 1L and really not sure why. Diff housing at front looks newer than everything around it (recall?) but the Diff housing at the rear looks original and there's no sign that it has been drained (so the auto mob haven't done it) - the colour of dust, mud and everything else stuck to it is consistent with the rest of the car. Now its very obvious that it has been drained....

    My diffs were similar to the TC - dark oil that was due for a change, but not putrid by any means. The recall has been done on mine, but everything has since been covered in mud...

    Mine doesn't stay on the black stuff the whole time...
