    Purchased a Vogue TDV8 2009MY

My search for a 2007-2008 Vogue TDV8 (Introductions July) has come to fruition. After a fair amount of research I decided on a Luxury Diesel even tho considered a SC 4.2 petrol. Noting BigJon's post a while back I've got a few pics to post up.

Yes 20" with Cooper ZEON LTZ. Apparently a good compromise for some off road work but they are pretty noisy on the fine surface sealed roads or concrete, even at very low rolling speeds. Handling is excellent on bends which must be the stiffer walls. I've driven on 20" FALKEN and Pirelli's in other similiar vehicles; they seemed to roll more on bends but much quieter.

Beautiful. Can anyone tell me do the TDV8's have the same gear box issues as the TD6?

    No, completely different box.

The 3.6 has the same box as the Disco3 (ZF6hp24), so do some reading on the issues now seen with early D3s, from factory they are also sold as "sealed for life" so lack of fluid changes are catching up. They DO require a new sump pan (few $ but not major) to be fitted as part of the first service so it is easy to see if they have been done.

4.4 has a new 8 speed ZF (used by many other manufacturers as well), we will see in time if any issues come up.

NOTE: 3.0TDV6 in D4 is different again, it had un uprated version (ZF6hp28) before it was later upgraded to the 8 speed
