Fuel Problem Stage 2
Well Boys I have a new query for you.
As I stated the new fuel pump intank and both senders and crossover pipes replaced. All new genuine parts.
Headed off from Ballina had 3 beautiful days of the car running like a dream.
Fourth day running along alas message Fuel injection system and I lost about 50% power but car did not stop as before,no air in lines all good.
Turned car off cleared the message and away I went. This has occurred twice today. Took fuel filter off and drained it off we went.
Any thoughts cause it still has to be a fuel problem. I am thinking fuel filter now and am in Bathurst with no luck.

If your desperate for a fuel filter go to the nearest large truck dealer or truck repair centre. Either would be a agent for AC Delco or Fleetguard filters. They should be able to match up a filter for you.
I used to use Fleetguard filters on all my vehicles till I discovered Karcraft.
Best of luck

What is the actual fault code - not whats displayed on the dash, what is in the ECU when read with a diognostic scanner. We are talking engine ECU which is OBD2 standard so any OBD2 scanner can read the faults we need.
If the system is displaying a message, it is going into self protect mode - the computer thinks there is something wrong - weather there is or not is another point. You need to make the ECU happy and to help, we need to know what it is crying about. This goes for any thing that the car tells you about, the car might not be right, but to trouble shoot, at times when the car says there is an issue, you need to know exactly what it is saying and start there.
Denis, please get the codes read and post up then we can tell you exactly which way to go - any local mechanic (or NRMA roadside) can read the engine ECU.

Fuel problem Stage 2 update
Hi Harlie
Well limped into Blayney at half power.Yes NRMA had OBD2 but can you guess it wasn,t working. Local mechanic had same but could not connect.
So no choice but to limp into Orange for Landrover dealer to diagnose what the car is crying about.
Oh Woe is me it showed four fuel injectors in very bad way. No choice but to let them do the work. Taking out mortgage on the house tomorrow ****
It seems the car immobiliser was locking me out each time I tried to start it as it thought someone was trying to start the car illegally. Inline fuel pump tested with plenty of pressure, but will purchase a spare online for any future need.
Hope to god it will be fixed this time.
Will let you know how I go.

Denis, there are several available.
There are PC/tablet based systems, or stand alone.
IMO if you carry a laptop on your travels then the pick is AllComms. You pay for the cable and then his software is free and often updated - download from his site but the software only works with his cable.

Like Gary I have IIDTool which is handy as it doesn't need a laptop and lives in the car, but it is painfull using the tiny screen after you are used to PC/Tablet based systems. It also doesn't have a complete data base and often returns "unknown code" with the 4 digit number, which you then have to find out what it is. After using other systems that have a complete DB, it ****s me to have to go and find what the code is - the kit should translate it - thats the point of a dedicated diognostic kit - it doesn't have to do anything else! (can anyone tell it returned a couple of 4 digit codes recently...)
