Very nice, I have the same rack and an awning installed and it is relatively simple, you will need the generic "L" Brackets because the angle of the sides is inclined.

Liking the light bar too, im sticking with the old fashion round ones because i have to many sitting around not too!

where do you get a genuine rack from?

You can order from your dealer - but $2000 new.


I wonder how easy it is to mount say two jerry cans, spare wheel, other items? I have been thinking of getting a Pioneer Platform rack as you get the benefit of all those Rhino accessories that fit so easily.


This is a great looking rack - and I'm tempted - but not at $2k

I got the rack from ULR in Melbourne. I have a good relationship with them there and managed to get it $1550. Although I think the reason I got it a bit cheaper was because I didn't order it, they had it in stock because another buyer pulled the plug.

I'm going to be mounting Jerry can holder and spare wheel in the coming weeks so ill keep posting updates. Get the spare tyre this Saturday.

Rack already coming in handy. Looking into mounting the LED bar this sat.

I have to say it DOES suit the car! Keen to see how easy it is to mount the others bits and pieces. Assume a tri strap is how those wheels are held down tight?

Yea looks great with the tyres on it. Held them down with Ratchet straps.

So in between beers and bathurst on Sunday I managed to get a few things done to the car.

I found these great LED reverse/camp flood light which fit snug between the side of my roof cage and look great. Sadly yes I do care too much about how things look.


Then in the afternoon I installed this nifty voltmeter into the center console where the old phone used to rest. It does involve making a few holes in the phone cradle but worth it.

The parts required to install this were:

• LCD Volt readout screen

• 3 way switch with 'I' '0' and 'II' buttons

• 10m of positive red cable

• 5m of negative black cable

All up this came to around $30. I already had a solder at home which is required.

I ran the positive cables from both batteries to the switch, then the middle connector on the back of the switch ran to the positive of the voltmeter and the negative of the voltmeter ran to ground. Simple install, only time consuming part was running the wires.




All in all very happy with the result.

Next up is the LED bar, im getting some steel fixing points welded to the cage this weekend so hopefully Ill be able to show some photos and possibly wire it all up sunday!
