L322 Bullbar development! Finally
Hey guys and girls
I have recently been talking to a company here in Adelaide about developing a bullbar. Now the question being asked is the chassis/mounting on the l322, has the range rover maintained the same front end throughout the years from 2002 onwards and just get various facelifts? Or did change and in what year did this happen?

L322 Bullbar development! Finally
Indeed I have seen that thread. Its seems to have stalled for progress. I'm in desperate need of a suitable bullbar as I'm doing alot of long distance driving on roads with some mammoth kangaroos. So I have been talking to gitsham Moto body's here in Adelaide and he is keen. He just needs more information and a rough idea with how many bars he could sell almost instantly to recoupe the cost of design and compliance
This is the style that they make
as i have mentioned i have been talking to the guys at gitsham motor body's here in Adelaide and he is dead seat keen on making a bullbar for the range rover. he has just stipulated that he would need at least 10 paid orders before he could commence building. i'm just waiting on an email back from him in regards to cost. they will be winch compatible and they are hoping to retain the fog-lights and front parking sensors. attached are two styles of bullbars they make. personally i like the "ultimate" style bullbar as it looks more rugged and ready for those large roo's i'm currently competing for road-space with on my long drives. i'm getting desperate for a bullbar so i thought i would do some legwork and see what i can come up with. he could potentially start manufacturing as early as may. let me know who's keen and i will keep you updated
What sort of price for the ultimate bar are we looking at?

The bumper itself could be the same for all variants but there would need to be 2 different infill panels.
Assuming the bumper is made to fit the earlier cars with the larger head lights (top of the bumper is straight), infill pieces would be needed for 06-09 and different infills for 2010-2012. the bottom of the headlight is higher the later model you look at.
The ultimate bar should be quite discrete, the factory options (soft black and the polished stainless) both have similar vertical sections, as long as the top bar is straight and sits reasonably low, (unlike some of the vehicles they have pictured with the top well above the bonnet) it would look quite nice - powder coat to colour match and it would blend very nicely.
Fitting it will be interesting. Once the bumper skin is removed, there is a solid steel bumper exposed. This member is bolted into the monocoque with 8 bolts that face forward - the bumper section of the bullbar would need access points cut out. You could set it up so the fog lights were removed to access the outer 4? The inner 4 would need something similar. Or separate brackets between the bullbar and the monocoque which I suppose is how TJM do it - the brackets bolt on first allow access to the difficult mounting points, then the bar bolts to the brackets with access through the air flow holes. - OK ignore me, thinking out loud.....
I will have one if its done nicely, the ultimate on the 200s looks like a real truck....
AND some thought will need to go towards airflow - the TD6 has the intercooler at the bottom on its own, below both the condenser and radiator. Not so important on the TDV8s as the condenser, intercooler and radiator are stacked one behind the other full height.
