Thread: TDV8 Recommended Extended Life Anti-Freeze Coolant

Ive been using the recommended Land rover Extended Life Anti-Freeze Coolant Havoloine XLC Antifreeze WSS-m97B44 Orange Colour, but searching for a cheaper version, but does not seem readily available.

I found out Caltex supplies Texaco Havoline and this is the reply from them-

"I assume you are referring to Texaco Havoline XLC. The product is sold in Australia as Caltex Extended Life Coolant, and this is readily available through Caltex service stations and our distributor network"


I have not checked it out yet but can anyone vouch for it or recommend another product or is it simply a case of buy it from the dealer.

I have been told that red Holden coolant meets LR specs. Not sure if the TDV8 runs the same stuff as earlier LRs with red coolant. Looks the same.
