If in Toowoomba-------------- I could help.
However diagnostics will only pick up electrical faults ( solenoids and speed sensors) in gearbox; not pressure related problems; these you can only check pump output/operating pressure at one point.
Well, it all comes at once!
I'm hoping that someone can assist me with a diagnostic tool please. I'm on the Gold Coast, near Reedy Creek.
I require someone to read a suspension fault, & gearbox fault. After some brief checking I suspect the steering angle sensor for the suspension, and a piston issue with the gearbox. A fault code or two would cut down my 'investigation' time!
I have been looking at getting my own fault reader, but there is always something more urgent! Now theses problems have appeared & caught me out!
I'm willing to bribe the lucky person with beer... :-)
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,

Thank you for the offer, I think in reality the gearbox needs work done. I was hoping it was an electrical fault. Only 3rd giving me grief, with 4th flaring 100 revs.
Time for a rebuild I think... It's the original, with no work done yet on 310,000 so shouldn't complain. Just bad timing!
The suspensions fault can wait for now. Gearbox takes priority. Easter trip now canned.
What model please . But me thinks it may be time to get the auto looked at
Mine went at 140,000 kms . On the advice of another forum member on here I sent mine to Greame at Western Suberbs Automatics in Rocklea. Happy with service. Yet to refit , waiting on a couple of small parts from the UK
310,000 is a good innings from a GM 5L40E in any bodies book.
