18 inch rims for an 08 Vogue TDV8

    Hi there.

I am looking to get 5 x 18 inch rims for an 08 TDV8 Vogue which at the moment has 22 inch Stormer rims. I have found some advertised on the net which are off a Disco 2 TD5. Problem is I don't know whether they would suit (fit) my vehicle. I've been told that not all 18 inch rims would necessarily fit. The reason I am doing this is because there seems to be a greater range & availability of AT tyres for off road purposes.

Can anyone with knowledge of these things help please?

    Regards
    Steve

I think you'll find the D2 has a smaller centre hole (spigot) diameter. When one fits RRS/L322 rims onto a D2/P38A, one has to fit hubcentric rims because the wheels have a bigger hole than the D2/P38A

    Will these do? http://www.aulro.com/afvb/wheels-tyr...ims-tyres.html

These are a bit far away, too: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/wheels-tyr...lloy-rims.html

According to the LR parts catalogue only Style 2 18" rims (RRC503040MNH) will fit over the front brakes.

I haven't actually tried any LR 18" rims. However, my understanding is that no LR 18" rim will fit over the front callipers of L322 tdv8. They will only fit 2002-2006 L322.

The only 18" rim to fit over the front callipers is a GOE or Compomotive rim from the UK. Google GOE or Green Oval Experience for info.

    Otherwise it's a LR 19" rim.

Steve I have these 18s on my MY05.
You're welcome to try it on yours, but it's a long drive to Sunshine Coast.

    Are your's 7.5" or 8" and are they RRC503040MNH?

Whilst the parts catalogue lists this part number as 18x8" and fits the 4.2 SC and 3.6 TDV8, there are many discrepancies on the net as to whether this part# is 7.5" or 8" and whether they do or do not fit over the 08/09 4-pot Brembos. According to the parts catalogue there is an earlier similar pattern 7.5" with a different part#.

Thanks. It's worth a try. But there's not much room on the 19" rims currently fitted to the front.
