    lower front suspension arms

    Hi all
anyone out there who has changed these arms who can tell if a special tool is needed or any tricks to change them. I am also thinking of using britpart from uk instead of genuine. Does anyone have any input for me.
    Cheers Denis.

Why are you changing them? Are the bushes flogged out? While changing the entire arm is easier than just doing the bushes if you don't have access to a press, it is an expensive way of doing them.

No idea what the Britpart arms are like, but some of their rubber products aren't too flash so personally I wouldn't go there.

Thanks for the reply. I just replaced the front sway bar which got rid of the terrible squeak. I still have a noise that sounds like a dry joint in the front. No knocking.
top arms have been replaced. I can see a small amount of wear on the lower front rubbers and thought this might be the problem.
sounds like you think they dont need replacing. Do you know of a good rubber lubricant that I could use on the joints.
    cheers denis

Pretty sure both Britpart and Lemforder make them - I may be able to dig up the part numbers but not for a day or 2. I've just bought all the bushes for the rear (Lemforder) and the fronts are next - I had a list of part numbers for them, but lost it...

Edit - there are poly buses available - http://www.polybush.co.uk/shop/land-...nge-rover-l322

Have a talk with these guys, they have started importing many new lines of parts.

    Karcraft Australia Pty Ltd

    Phone: (02) 9737 9944

    E-mail: enquiries@karcraft.com.au

Reading UK posts Delphi and Lemforder are the OEM suppliers to LR. I wouldn't touch Britparts

    Hi Laurie and Bacicat

Many thanks for the info will contact Karcraft thanks Laurie.
The rubbers don't look too worn on these arms.
When I bounce the car on the left side front I get a loud squeak which can be heard when driving over road joints. Do you think this could be the problem when the rubbers don't look too worn. There is no noise on the right drivers side at all.
    Cheers Denis
