Smile Which Battery To Buy for car used only every 2nd weekend at most

My battery was not good before Engine rebuild but seems to have died .Even Optimate 6 with battery disconnected does not seem to be charging it

Big horse day today and Rangies first proper outing but battery dead so lucky I kept ML500

I need battery for vehicle that only does about 4000ks per year and its job is to tow extended horse float with nervy passengers and horses , it is very best for towing when going so needs to be totally reliable

    What battery should I buy?

Use a solar battery charger. We have a maintenance one on a hilux that does about 20 to 40 km per year on a property. Keeps the battery charged although I give it a charge after we use it to give the battery longer life. If you are doing 4000km per year it'll keep the battery alive.

    charging

What I need Is a battery

the Optimate 6 can be connected to keep battery like new but only if serviceable

but solar could still be good with new battery and may even help choose battery
