    Its Arrived At Last!

    Hi Folks,

Well after months of issues, inclusive of deciding to fit two new turbos, my TDV8 has arrived in Uganda.
A few issues with codes after 6 weeks in the container but now seems to be settling down.

Diesel is dirty here so have a few filters as are the dust levels, we are also at some altitude.

Gave it a bit of a clean

    Inside and out:

Appear to have a loose connection issue with the rear camera, sometimes it works sometimes not!

    Cheers, Jerry

    Nice!

You're a brave man, or very mechanically competent having such a vehicle in a developing nation though.

Still first impressions of Uganda were good when I passed through going to/from the DRC a couple of week back, particularly compared to PNG, so maybe not so brave in reality

    Cheers

    Steve

Mine failed (it is common) and I replaced it with a 10 dollar one from ebay. Took a little bit of fiddling to make it fit, but it works better than the original.

    Nice roof rack too.

    Hi Folks,

    Thanks for the comments.

Range Rovers a plenty here in Kampala, 4 Indies and one "dealer". Quite a few L322's and an amazing number of L405's/Sports/Evoques/D3/D4's.

They all have diagnostics, and I have Hawkeye.

The rack is a genuine LR part. The ladder came from the US, company called Voyagerracks. Difficult to deal with and very slooooooooow!

However the ladder is made of the same tubular stuff as the rack just with an anti slip type paint job.

The main intention of the rack is to carry the second spare and jerry can when bush (up country, they call in here).

    Heres a better view:

Just arrived from the container and dirty.

The DRC is more like PNG!

Yes I'll get a couple of images today.

To be honest, the ladder is very well made but the attaching appears to be a bit messy and sub standard.

    You'll see what I mean.

    Now with Rear Ladder Pics

    Hi Folks,

As promised some pics of the ladder fitment:

    The build quality is good:

The crush bolts supplied were rubbish so these are my own:

Trust this helps. As stated, a little messy.
