Hopefully not, it was still driving, albeit a bit slower than it should have.

    Hi Ron,

Hope all went ok with your car. Despite having a few teething when I first got my L322 it is by far the best landy I have owned. And being diesel I don't miss the fuel consumption on the P38!

The gearbox won't change up higher than, I think, 3rd. I limped home at about 60km/h and 3,000+ rpm. Trying Sport mode didn't help.

I'm glad it didn't happen hundreds of km from home.

The trans is apparently still under warranty.

    Answering using my wife's phone.

    Back home Tuesday.

    I hope it's in warranty.
I was talking to an auto trans guy in town about one of these he had on his hoist.
I was told that a reconditioned 'box for one of these came in at $18K. No wonder it had been on his hoist for 2 weeks awaiting repair!

The Trans seems to be the Achilles Heel of L322's!

I thought it was only the diesels that were the main concern, but obviously not.

Sad, because the rest of the car is pretty bullet proof. We had zero issues on our TD6 over 130,000Kms.

It was the other way around when the cars were new. We replaced dozens of autos behind the V8 & the Td6 didn't give an ounce of trouble in dealership land.
