Sorry to hear Ron,I hope its something easily sorted.
We were going to buy a L322 for Deb,after a good chat with JustinC we decided against it.The gearbox issues with them was the main concern, and the only ones in our price range at the time had too many km.

I really HATE the fact the best looking LR ever has the bodgyest engine/gearbox combo.

Imagine Mr ZF's face when MR LR said "We want to put that box behind these two engines,,, Mr ZF smiles and says,, No sir, they are not rated for these engines, NO warranty!
Mr LR smiles that special smile and says,, new RR's dont get flogged, we'll be fine!"

    and then they talk $$$

    I said no such thing!

I would have stuck a manual in it, like all real driving machines should have!

I don't know what happens to the ZFs now that the cars are older but when they were new, it was a restriction/blockage in the radiator (with built in transmission cooler IIRC) causing the fluid to overheat & killing the transmission. ZF supplied a changeover box & a new radiator was fitted so the car was usually only off the road for a few days.
Once the radiator issue was sorted, the ZFs never had an issue from where I sat.

My plan is to check the car with Autologic and look at the fluid. The lack of a dipstick makes it a bit harder.

It appears there is an external trans cooler. I wonder if it should be replaced. The little I've found so far indicates it can block.

If the transmission is under warranty, let KLR check the oil & they can sort out the warranty side of things.

Maybe double check that the warranty is transferable too before KLR let the repairer know the car has a new owner.

All in hand. KLR own the Autologic. I'll be going there tomorrow.
