Question TD6 Battery goes flat if car not used

I am wondering how long other owners are able to let their TD6 lay idle before the battery goes flat.
Darned annoying when we go away for a couple of weeks and the motorbikes still start OK as does the 18 year old BMW but not the L322 TD6.
I know there is electrical brains working away all the time in these cars but I am still interested to know what other owners experience is.
As always your replies will be appreciated.

3 weeks, but it is well down and after destroying a battery when the car was only driven 5 mins (not enough to charge what was taken to start) after sitting for 3 weeks I don't let it go anymore.

If I know it won't be used for more than a week which happens often, a charger goes on, with a $5 timer to run it for 1hr/day.

Thanks Harlie. I suspected I was not alone.
I guess I will need a power point in carport area.
I have had this car from new and this has always been a source of annoyance.

    Hi,
A small solar panel will do the job of stopping parasitic drain. Put in a plug on a lead to make the connection quick and easy (otherwise you won't always do it).
    Cheers
