    From memory now land rover are doing the warranty if not the actual rebuild. Will try and find out. Anyway I think that has answered the slight clunk question.

    "Land Rover" supplied and reco's boxes come from a place n Vic. Nice people run the place and are great to talk to and happy to give knowledge and advice, they do know their stuff.

    I am looking elsewhere for my next box

    2007/2002/2000/1994/1993/1988/1987/1985/1984/1981/1979/1973 Range Rover 1986 Wadham Stringer

    My car no longer lives in VIC so I sought a more local repair when my land rover supplied/fitted replacement box went kaput after a few good years of fun country touring.

    FWIW, Fred Smith in Bayswater, VIC had a new trans in a crate last time I was there if anyone's after one. Personally, I'd prefer to rebuild & upgrade my own, which is what I did. Very happy with the results so far, done maybe 10k and it's running great, just did a road trip to QLD via the VIC high country and couldn't be happier- these machines are brilliant long distance tourers. Warning- PM me for comments on either of these options before you proceed...
