    brake pad light

Just as I was leaving work tonight, I got the red brake warning light.

I wont be able to get into my mechanic until week after this coming week, I gather that I'll still have some brakes until then.

Already got the pads(trw)and the sensors(gotta find them now lol).

Just have to get the disks. I'll be getting DBA's.

    cheers

Yep, you've got a few thousand KM before you hit metal.

I found the 21 quid disks I got from the UK lasted as long as the $160 disks I got locally that were supposed to be high quality - they all seem to last around 80,000KM

The 6 quid sensor was much better value than anything I could get locally. I was quoted between $38 and $85 for them here. They're only a bit of plastic with a small copper strip in them and a plug on a wire.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

I just threw out the DBAs on mine, and the DBA pads couldn't put up with the pulsating break pedal. The pads weren't even worn.

Got a link to those sensors? I need some for my D3. I'm assuming they're the same or the supplier will have some for mine.

I bought it with them, they were not that old but the discs were warped.
I replaced them with these, but it was as a favour from a contact, not easily available to the general public.
