    Update on this....

Xmas eve I ordered a YXB000090 from Duckworth in the UK. They confirmed that part will fit my model. I took a gamble and went for the slow postage option (much cheaper) since it was mostly working and sometimes would take a few turns of the ignition.

Boxing Day it wouldn't start at all. I pulled the centre console out and removed the ignition switch. The switch actually comes apart so I filed the contacts with a nail file and liberally sprayed with contact cleaner. All back together and has started first go every time since.

Now to see how long my hack job lasts. As long as it's 2-3 weeks and the replacement part arrives I can live with it, but with any luck it will last a lot longer before I have to deal with it again! It was an easy job to access it though - just a few hidden screws that took up all my time with the centre console. Next time I should have no problem replacing the switch within 1 - 1.5 hours total.

Here's some pics of the switch:

Now that you cleaned the contacts it'll probably last another 10 years.

From FFRR it sounds like I replace the ignition switch, but what I don't understand is whether that means new keys? Is the ignition switch just the electrical component separate to the key barrel? Or do I need to buy the whole ignition assembly?

On microcat, I think I'm ordering item 11523 which is part #YXB000090. That said, almost no where has that part number listed. There is part #YXB000073 though.

Can someone explain the ignition barrel/switch thing to me?

And secondly, any recommendations where to source such parts locally?

Cheers all. Apart from this, the L322 is going great.

P.S. Brand new battery a few days after I bought it and have double checked battery voltage. I'm pretty confident the problem is in the ignition area.

Hi is there a posiblity to respost the video? i think i have the same issue and the video would be a great help
