PLR if you knew all the stuff that runs you wouldn't be able to sleep at night. These things wake up at intervals and check things. Just make sure your battey is up to it.
I came out at night to find my trailer LED lights blinked in harmony with my red alarm led on the mirror, it was sensing the lighting system and found the load was not correct. ( i Fixed it with resistors to increase load) Every time you open the door it starts the whole HEVAC system. The Final Stage Resistor is a culprit for battery drain if it is faulty, not that expensive but I found it fiddly to get to, but very easily replaced.
I think the car monitors the air suspension also whilst parked?

Yep, it looks at the HEVAC, suspension and a host of other things. Enough to flatten the battery in a few weeks without starting it.

You may have noticed you can park it, lock it and walk away, then 10 minutes later the suspension moves to make the vehicle closer to level and to keep it happy.

Yes , your right i did have worrying thoughts about it but decided it would be best to wait till something actually happens then i`ll worry . I worry about the column at times when not in it but when it just watch it and don`t worry .

I guess one day when my brain will accept it i`ll have a look at the electrical manual and get an idea , i just though someone may have already found a source of information .

Still haven`t got to grips with the HEVAC , i have heard it as you say when opening the door and it`s good that you say yours does it so it`s probably supposed to .

    Cheers

It is suppose to purge all the stale air out.

I was thinking of sticking a solar charger on the Dash if I need to go away and not use it for a while, eg parked in airport carpark etc. just to trickle feed the battery.
Yours will never go flat as you'll drive it often just for the enjoyment

Having a bit of a look at the circuits seems the question should have been what is active via the ignition switching .

At least it looks like something could be found with less effort .

I realise these things have more to them and the reason for it but i found it much easier to use the old type circuit diagrams for an over all understanding of what was where and what was related to what .

Is there such a thing as a circuit diagram of old that gives an over all of these vehicles ?

Get yourself a copy of the RAVE CD, it contains all the circuit diagrams

    I have a RAVE CD .

RAVE gives individual circuits which is fine if you only want and know what you need to look at .

If you want to look further forward or back from a particular circuit it can be hard work and very time consuming .

I had to use the RAVE circuits for our LSE softdash when it melted some wires under the bonnet , under the dash , in the roof and in and around the fuel tank .

It took longer to decipher the RAVE than it did to repair the wires and i had to print heaps of pages to link it all together because at the end of each circuit it give a number which is a code for the next circuit that links .

Each time it would blow a fuse i had to work out everything that was linked to a particular circuit and how and where the circuit could be shortened by unplugging a connector which also have codes in RAVE to find the shorts where the wires had melted together and the melted wires often included an unrelated circuit .

If i had the old type circuit diagram i could have worked it out by looking at the over all diagram instead of spending hours working out what colour wire was doing what in each individual circuit and decoding things as the RAVE requires .

The L322 would be much worse because it must have miles of wire in it .

I do know a bit about soft dash wires now though .

Hmm, I think you'll have trouble finding one, OLD circuit diagrams are for OLD cars, the new modern high sophisticated vehicles have too much in them so they break them into sections.
Any way they are so reliable you should not need to worry about diagrams.
I'm sure Homestar would have worked out all it's gremlins when he owned it for you.

I don't know if it would really be possible to draw a complete circuit diagram that's useful. With everything being controlled through ECU's, a physical diagram would not give the full picture - you need to understand the logic and intelligence of the ECU's as well.

For example you could look at a physical diagram of a computer motherboard, but that doesn't tell you anything about what is live when as controlled by software instructions via the CPU.

That's why there is separate diagrams for particular functions. In someways this make is more complicated, but in other ways it makes it much simpler.

Anyway, that probably doesn't help you much does it.
