    BONG INACTIVE SUSPENSION, HDC fault

I am haunted by this fault over the last week, I can reset it, but it comes back if I do a bump on the road, so I am assuming it is a sensor, Maybe that roo did some damage underneath.
So it's going to be some investigation time. GRRR.

iidtool shoes these, from what I can together, one fault can trigger a chain reaction . So will start with the ABS sensors and height control sensors and see if there is a broken wire that may be triggering this.
Alt is pumping out 14v and battery is reasonably new, so doubt its an under voltage problem. Will also check and clean some body earths ,

Suggestions welcome if any one has have this before.

    • 0x5A Temporary system deactivation

    • 0x68 Steering angle sensor ECU internal fault
    EAS-Suspension

    • 0x32 CAN bus Fault
    IP-Instrument Pack

    • 0xBD EBV function fault received from ABS ECU
    LCM-Light Control v11

    • 0xC ECU EEPROM fault

    • 0x57 Air suspension active/inactive

    SASM-Steering Angle

    • 0x4 Steering angle sensor fault during normal operation

When mine did that it was the front right wheel height sensor out of range. Only did it occasionally - usually when I hit a bump.

How does it drive? I got the steering angle sensor errors when my wheel alignment was out badly. My steering wheel was out about 20° though!!

Well I raided my stock and pinched 2 front height sensors ( I shouldn't do that, I'll go Broke LOL.) I notice the New Genuine Land Rover ones have a part superseded number and Land Rover uses a plastic connecting link instead of the original steel link. Cheap skates.
I found the connector plugs had retainer broken clips on the plug but they were pretty tight though. I fitted the new height sensors and cleared faults, she rose to correct height and I took her for a drive, she seemed too ride better, drove for a few kms, then "Bong" and the faults came back, so I'm going to have to spend some more time looking at earths and connectors. Fault codes on IIdtoolBt only give a general fault code and description, but it doesn't pin point the actual point of fault eg, if it is a left wheel sensor or the like.

I had to spend money on her the other day and raided the larder for a couple of new rear upper tail gate struts that decided to go and hit me on the head the other cold morning.
    Cheers, Mario

Bugger. Yeah, the replacement I bought had a plastic linkage but is still working fine to the best of my knowledge. Hope you track it down soon.

Gav, I'm going to unscrew all earth points I can find and clean them, there is body paint on all connections, just to eliminate a possible intermittent earth problem ,I'll wire brush and spray the connections with contact cleaner.
    today's faults
The Can bus fault makes me think its a connection some where, and today I got a boot pressure sensor fault today, it has a new boost sensor I recently fitted.
The ABS ECU , there is an earth connection on the body, so will wire brush it and clean it.

    ABS-Brake Module

    • 0x5A Temporary system deactivation

    • 0x68 Steering angle sensor ECU internal fault

    EAS-Suspension

    • 0x32 CAN bus Fault

    ECM-Engine (DDE4)

    • P0237-01 Boost pressure sensor malfunction - open circuit/short circuit to ground - General failure information - general electrical failure

    IP-Instrument Pack

    • 0xBD EBV function fault received from ABS ECU

    LCM-Light Control v11

    • 0xC ECU EEPROM fault

    • 0x57 Air suspension active/inactive

    SASM-Steering Angle

    • 0x4 Steering angle sensor fault during normal operation

Not sure what Mario found with his, but I had a wheel height sensor out of adjustment, but had this happen with low battery volts too.

Thank you I looked through the last log of the wheel sensors and Left rear shows 0. Have also had flat battery issues due to instruments not talking to LCM and LCM not talking to laptop.
