    Did the resistor do the job or not,
    Am thinking of upgrading my HB to LED.

    The 'resister' did nothing ... so am going to use:

    Car 4Pcs 50W Load Resistor 6ohm Fix LED Bulb Fast Hyper Flash Turn Signal ## | eBay

    which I used setting up my trailer connector, and it stopped the test flashes etc.

    Have not won on CANBUS compliance ... tried the resistors, still bulb flashes as the car checks lamps, so now looking for CANBUS compliant LED bulbs, which seem to exist in UK market but not Aussie.

    Anyone succeeded in getting Canbus compliant LED bulbs to either high or low beam?

    Is the flashing occurring while the lights are off?

    Also, are the headlights being reported as faulty?

    Can the. Lights be run through a relay so the canbus reads the relay and not the bulbs??

    If the problem is just that the lights flicker when off then a relay will fix this issue because the relay wont have time to pull in. If the lights are being reported as failed due to insufficient load then a load resistor across the relay coil should fix that issue. Its the same fix as LED trailer blinkers with a D3.

    The only error message I got was for the number plate lights. I had to turn off the checking of those.

    There is no flashing when the vehicle is turned off.

    The lights go through a rapid multi flash (one side then other) when ignition first turned on, then every so on after that while motor is running.
    Unless I am parked against a wall, or at night, I am not aware of the flashing. It has been reported by drivers travelling in front, who see it in their rear view mirrors.
    There are no faulty lights reported.

    In which case powering the lights using relays operated by the original wire to the lights should be the cure.

    Fit a relay to power the bulbs - the relay needs more than the test pulse to turn on. This will stop the flicker.

    The car will probably then report a globe fault - easiest fix is to turn off the cold test for the main beam, setting in the LCM. Warm test will still report on failed globe as it tests when it is turned on only.

    Turning off the cold test will stop the periodic test flicker, but most circuits will still flicker when the ignition is first turned on.
    Fitting a resistor to satisfy the test will hide a globe fault on the warm test too.
