I recently had to try and fit an Iphone image onto a A4 page with others and could not do it easily, except in the end by saving it and then cropping it in the Win 10 picture editor to more like a landscape aspect or more correctly to remove the top and bottom of the image.

Whenever I strike that, I use the iOS editor to rotate the pic until it has the desired aspect.
