    Intermittant Adaptive Dynamics Error

    Must be the month....

I'm now getting an intermittent Adaptive Dynamics Error. It clears on ignition cycle and doesn't occur every day, in fact is very infrequent.

When it does occur the suspension seems to stiffen - just like when the Airbags are at their limit in extended mode - but whilst still in standard height mode, so you seem to bounce a bit more over road imperfections with less give in the ride.

Any pointers to what may cause this and a fix?

A wire to the top of the front shocks will be broken. Its a known problem which can be temporarily repaired by rejoining the broken wires but best to acquire and fit the service kit of a replacement connector and lengths of better wires, 1 kit for each side front. When I find the part number I'll update this post.

When one CVD isn't connected then all CVDs operate without any softening, hence the stiff ride.

The repair kit part number is LR032839 - 2 will be required.

You could replace the first 200mm or so of the wires, having cut the original wires close to the plug but leaving enough to solder new wires, assuming that the connectors can't readily be disassembled.

    Thanks Graeme,

One side already had the kit fitted the other side someone had previously just repaired with solder and this was intermittently breaking, so the kit was fitted here.
