Reset . Disconnect battery touch cable terminals together reconnect. Cross fingers and toes
Hi all,
My L322 Td6 daily driver was running fine. Parked in supermarket carpark this morning, came back and won't start. Engine cranks with gusto, there is fuel into and out of the fuel filter. Volts at battery are 12.3 but that may be all the cranking.
Turbo boost control solenoid is buzzing which I have not noticed previously.
My iidtool is conveniently 700km away so I can't read do any diagnostics.
Any ideas befor I get it on a flat bed?
Cheers, Charles

Not near a Discount Chemist by chance? My L322 Td6 daily driver was running fine. Parked in supermarket carpark this morning
Their doors can interfere with the alarm.
On my D2 I used to lock/unlock a few times but if it is outside a chemist perhaps you can push it away .

Mario,
Clamped them together for 10 minutes - no change. Cranks over really fast but no start.
Phillip, There is a Discount Chemist Wharehouse but it is inside shopping centre building 150+ metres away. It is same spot we park in every week at the shops, so I don't think it is RF interference.
Have called for a tow and will sort it out when we get back from outback trip that starts on Wednesday - Luckily I had decided to take the old D2 Td5 otherwise I would be significantly more stressed than I am (although 3 hour wait for NRMA is wearing on my patience!).
Cheers, Charles
Hi all,
Interesting outcome.
NRMA mechanic could hear the fuel line/filter sounded a little grumbly - pulled fuel hose again and there was a lot of air in the fuel. Tank was just below half full and I generally keep it above half full. NRMA had 10 litres of diesel which made no difference. I went off and got another 30 litres which filled tank to full on gauge. Fuel system primed then cranked for a while then started. Ran pretty rough but well enough to get home - what a relief!!
Feel a bit stupid for not figuring that out myself, as I noted the fuel delivery was a bit spluttery when I checked the flow earlier in the day - shows how a bit of stress can impair one's judgement.
Obviously something perished/cracked/broken in pump assembly and it has been ok as I tend to keep it filled up.
Will deal with in a couple of weeks when I get back from the bush.
Thanks for your troubleshooting suggestions.
Charlie.
Great news - your in tank pump is weak - it uses a Venturi to get the fuel over the hump in the tank and when they get a bit weak, it stops doing this and you lose fuel from one side - but not the side with the sender in it... 😉
Not a hugely difficult fix, top of the tank is easy to get to by removing the back seats - which are bloody heavy, but not difficult to remove.
I nursed mine for over a year when it did this before I got around to fixing it.
Have a great trip in the D2! 👍😊
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
Was wondering if anyone had noticed any air bubbles in the clear line to the filter in the engine compartment. It is a dead giveaway for an intake pump issue.
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
I keep a spare external fuel pump in my spare tyre compartment for an emergency in case that one goes. they are small and take up little room. but I'm stuffed if the tank one goes, so 50/50 chance of making it out alive.
