						Hi all,
Currently attempting to get my 2003 TD6 L322 suspension back to a functional state and it is proving to be a challenge.
Background: Vehicle has been highly reliable daily driver for last 5 years and has about 397k kms. Last October it started blowing white smoke as turbo and injectors had reached use by date. It took until last few weeks for me to sort the injectors and turbo due to time constraints, so vehicle sat with no power and flat suspension for a good couple of months. Once I got it running again, all was good for short test drive. When I went to go on longer test run, front suspension would not lift.
Since then, I have rebuilt the compressor whilst waiting for my GAP tool to arrive. Figured I may as well rebuild as I had a spare Bag Piping Andy kit on the shelf and had noted the suspension had been taking progressively longer to lift to offroad height over the last year. Compressor bore definitely had some wear, however cleaned up pretty well with a scotch brite pad. All reinstalled and fired up but still no suspension lift at front.
Fired up this morning with GAP tool connected and air reservoir pressure came up to 190 Psi but still no lift. Since then I have noticed in Gap Tool live values that nothing happens when I operate the Up, Down, Hold, or Access buttons - they just show as "off". My understanding is reading should cycle between on and off as the switch is operated and released. The up/down lights are on next to the switch but seems not to be sending any signal. I have also noted the air reservoir pressure does not get beyond 123 Psi.

At this point I am assuming the compressor is buggered , however keen to understand what might be causing the apparent lack of signal for the height adjustment controls.
Any ideas welcome and worth noting the functionality of GAP Tool on the very early L322 is pretty limited.

I was hoping that may have been the case early in process but unfortunately no change.
Looks like compressor is first thing to address as still weak after replacing piston ring, When cold it brings reservoir pressure up to 190 with door open. Close door and pressure drops as car tries to level and from then on diminishing pressure and rapidly increasing compressor temperatures. I will source some connectors tomorrow so I can supply air from another source and see what impact that has on situation.

I doubt any of these things have an extended "duty cycle". Hence the reason for Bagpipe Andy..I dont know what line pressure these things are supposed to create in a L322,, I can tell you it takes around 70-80lb to lift the rear of a D2.

						Thanks Pedro and Tins. I have been away from computers, so apologies for delayed response. Following further research and testing I am comfortable with the compressor output at 190psi max even though that is below the stated specs. I rebuilt the main and crosslink valves with kit from 4x4 airseals and whilst there was no apparent wear, there was moisture present. The compressor rebuild should have fixed that, although interestingly; the old desiccant was not solidified/clumped together.
To cut a long story short, I now have vehicle raising itself. It was late last night and took manually calibrating height using GAP Tool, however front had dropped again overnight. This was not surprising as when front lifted I could hear air escaping and feel it bleeding out through base of airbag support - see red circled area in image below (not my strut - borrowed from internet). I expect this indicates failure of air bag and/or the large sealing O rings?
