    L322 Blower Fan failure

I have a 2002 L322 and the front ventilation blower has stopped - no warning. The indicator lights all come on as I turn the knob, but no fan. The ac is working as the rear blower will give cool air, and the vent controls all work - I can hear the flaps opening and closing. Have checked the fuse, it was fine but replaced it anyway. No error on the Check Control. The computer seems to think the fan is working (?) but it doesn't go. Maybe just a loose wire but how to get in there to see?

Would a local auto electrician be worth visiting or is it going to be an LR specialist thing? I am on the NSW Central Coast - no LR dealer or specialist around here as far as I know. Any suggestions would be very greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

If you have a manual and see the complexity of the aircon/ventilation system of this vehicle you will find you need to take it to a dealer as they can plug it in and have the car tell them whats at fault. Then take a seat.

    Progress

Having read some UK forum posts and studying the Workshop Manual, I am 95% sure it is the blower relay unit, aka blower control unit, aka blower output stage. Would replace it myself but don't fancy trying to get into the back of the dash. Booked into dealer next week - hopefully they won't waste their time and my money by not listening to my input.

Indeed that's just what it was. But of course they wouldn't take any input from me and just wrote "fan not working", so of course I ended up paying for their diagnosis time.

    Blower Fan Failure

Hi, I have a 2002TD6 and my blower fan has stopped (per your description) did you determine if it was the relay unit, I've probably come across the same UK forum which suggests it is as well.
