    Headlight problem - Range Rover

I have a 2005 Range Rover, and have had problems with headlights failing. Had globes replaced ($ouch), but problem recurred about 18 mos after. One globe is out on low beam. Both work on hi beam. Very occasionally, and with no obvious pattern, lights will fully switch off. I'm waiting for a new globe from o/s, but interested in any thoguhts on why this is happening to better challenge the repairer, since problem recurred last time. Anyone had any similar experience - I don't just want the repair spend to have it happen again?

What sort of headlights do you have? Xenon or Halogen?

If halogen, aren't they standard H7 bulbs and therefore locally available relatively cheaply?

Thanks for replying. Headlights are Xenon globes.
