it has been done. One of the test cars had it embedded into the front of the car. I have seen pics of OS cars that had it done for a work vehicle. So its only a matter of time
Can be done it seems...

True but nice to see they are being developed for sale.
Lucky8llc in the USA will have a hidden winch mount out soon. We were hoping to see how everyone is wiring those up.
Hi all. as I intend to use my new D5 (February next year delivery) off road I have been looking in to winch mounts. I have just received this email from Lucky8 llc in the States:-
HelloWe have them in hand and they are $580. We have not had time to do any install instructions. Please let me know if you would like a shipping quote.
That is about $820. I've emailed them back with a bunch of questions and asked for a shipping quote. This looks very hopeful.
If it meets all of my answers, I will go ahead and purchase one. My daughter-in-law's dad owns a REPCO service centre and we'll fit it there.
Cheers guys!

They sell it from the designer/suppliers of that vehicle in Germany
Integrierte Seilwinde 3.600 kg – Discovery 5
Interestingly, the D5 workshop manual (in the general section, installation of accessories) has installation instructions for a winch and tray with LR part numbers.

I wonder why they don't sell this.
