Discovery 5 iidtool not working- anyone else ?

    Hi Guys

Anyone using the idtool BT on a D5.

Mine no longer works on D5 MY18 SD4 SE ?

Interested to see if anyone else is getting an error ?

How about iidtool alternatives ? Anyone using them ? I used to have the fault mate on my old D3.

Just me or a completely different beast electrically.

GAP have no date to look at this issue.

    So currently i have a $700 paperweight

I have an IIDTool BT which works fine on my D5. But it will only read and clear fault codes at present, and while it seems to read the CCF there's no way of displaying it. What are the errors you are getting? Did you manage to activate the tool?

No, didn't get as far as activating it. Worked fine on the D4.

The unit itself won't read the CANBUS. Just loops around looking for it.

Spoke to GAP, they think its prob an issue with a change in the SD4 electrical architecture

Hey Ron, does it at least allow you to change/recalibrate the height?

I'd have to check, haven't used that as off road 2 is high enough for where I take it.

I had a play with the 3 suspension height settings, setting 1 changed to +25 but the car didn’t move up nor down. Setting 2 changed to +29 (highest it would go at the front) but also no change in ride height when selecting that setting.

That makes sense, changing the ride height is a car configuration file change. Which is not yet available I believe from GAP.

Wondering if it will be worth waiting for GAP to work out the system architecture or sell mine to a D4 owner.

GAP have no ETA on getting the iidtool working fully on a D5
