Did you remember to say au revoir to the Jeep?

You will have to live with the guilt yer know, if you didn't.

Yarnmaster - Yes I did, and I gave it a final pat and a "Job Well Done!".

Gregz - I paid them very little attention, to be honest, but they were a Goodyear HT SUV tyre.

PS I was driving down the freeway today and I thought there was a sudden loss of traction on the dry bitumen. Then it dawned on me, it was the Lane Keeping stuff doing its thing. Quite disconcerting until I figured it out!

Did you also have even a solitary tear in your eye? I did, from a passing distance.

I will miss it. The Grand Cherokee does a very good job at an excellent price point - but the Disco is in another league. I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I did.

The main thing is that you have made your peace with him/her so all will be fine now.

I have been a little busy sorting a few things out. I spent 14 hours with an auto electrician doing some major wiring. I now have a Redarc Tow Pro Elite, Anderson Plug and the wiring for the camper rear view cameras at the tow hitch. I have a twin camera dashcam wired in. I have now hardwired a phone cradle with antenna, six wheel TPMS and cradle with USB power for my 8" Samsung tablet for OziExplorer.

I have also fitted a short Narva LED light bar under the front number plate.

I got one of the D4 spare wheel winder adapters from Tuffant. It fits well and I have worked out an extended 1/4" drive so I can use a battery drill to wind the spare up and down. I will make up a replacement floor for the boot with a small hatch so I don't need to empty the car to wind down the spare.

I can't post pictures at present because I can't access Photobucket for some reason.

    Cheers

Photobucket is still down, so I will try something else...

I fitted a small Narva lightbar:

I made up a bracket out of some perforated strap from Bunning. I wrapped it around the plastic supports in the opening. I then made some smaller brackets up to hold the lightbar in place vertically.

    Cheers
