A bit better than an Evoque, which itself is pretty good.

I have just purchased a RRS TDV6 SE, love the car. How off road capable is TDV6 with no low range and no TR2?

I was surprised how well TDV6 went on a driving training day at Werribee. Shouldn't be a problem unless you are doing serious mountain climbing!
2022 Defender D250 S being set up for touring.

'82 RRC 2 door almost finished on club plates (will always be nearly finished!)

1994 Defender ute hopefully on club plates one day
I have one but havent done anything offroad yet. I think the biggest issue would be slow speed work sneaking around rocks and sticks and abrubt bumps and the like. From a standing start they tend to want to charge off like rambo. Quite sensitive to throttle inputs at low speeds. Can be a challenge in stop start traffic unless you are very very smooth on the throttle. Would be more challenging in the bumps. The other issue is tyres. I have 19'' standard wheels with 235/65 tyres. Sort of ok for sidewall height but tread is highway biased. There are no other tyres available in that size other than the stock pirelli. The 255/55 size tyres are a lower profile. Would like to run 18'' wheels but we wait for Gordon. Have fun having a go.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
Yes, it took me a while to get used to the throttle response too. Not long after getting it I was maneuvering in to a tight parking space in a moderate incline, I found my self constantly on the verge of rear ending the car in front as small input had me not moving at and the slights bit more had the car launching itself forward. All I could think of at the time was "no good for tight off road work".
Found the same situation in stop start traffic but have now mastered the peddle. I have also found that sport mode in this situation gives a bit better control.
I wish I had forked out for the low range and TR2 as I feel I only have half a Land Rover. As fantastic as this car is, I feel I am in no mans land with it, not really tooled up for off road (clearance, internal space, no flat load space, large turning circle and no low range) but does not have all the goodies to take full advantage of the platform on the road (dynamic mode and more exciting engine). In reality I did buy it knowing that I am not likely to take this one off road. Even at 5 years I hated getting pinstripes on the Disco. Nit picking I know.![]()
