Not sure what those packs include, but I also think the 825W surround system is a worthwhile upgrade, plus the sliding pano roof. That's just me tho. I have adaptive cruise on my Range Rover and also love it.

DAB radio useless in my opinion. I think reception failed ar about 3km from the dealer at geelong. Pano sunroof not to my liking. Not driveable above say 60km/hr with sunroof open due to buffeting. Adaptive cruise might be good if you drive a lot in traffic. If you go for elec adjustable seats maybe memory would be good. Take care with wheel selection. 20 might be best. Roof rails if you might like to use roof bars later. So many choices though.

Did you get the DAB radio looked at? Mines never failed me (yet anyway)

Brick - it all depends what you will use the car for.

Luxury pack and Convenience pack are for SE models. HSE models and above come with all those features as standard.

Similarly, DAB radio is standard on HSE and above. Reception can be limited outside of suburbia.

Comments on a few options I chose on my HSE Dynamic:-

Meridian Surround 825w - I like this a lot and it is much better than the standard.

Climate Front seats - very useful for summer months.

Sliding pano roof - this is a bit of glitz but I do enjoy how light it makes the cabin feel.

Adaptive Cruise - very good depending what type of driving you do but its a must for me.

Surround camera - again this is a nice to have but is useful when parking and would come in handy when off-roading.

Blind spot/Closing vehicle - again a nice to have but is a very good safety feature

In control apps - ignore this one. Limited apps available in Australia and don't think i will ever use it after playing with it for a while.

Tyre pressure monitoring system - seems to be a very basic system but I suppose it helps from ruining a tyre if you get a flat and don't notice it.

Wheels - again depends what driving you are doing and the proposed look of the vehicle. Personally I love the look of the 22 inch wheels and have not noticed a problem with ride comfort at all. I have some 22 inch style 508's for sale (delivery mileage only) to add to your considerations.

Other items to consider:-

SE comes with Terrain Response, HSE and above you get Terrain Response 2 (depends if you go off road).

Memory seats are standard on HSE and above.

The only real other considerations are interior colour and trims, as well as the external look of the car i.e. body colour, roof colour, Painted Front/Rear Bumpers and Side Sills, Dynamic options, Stealth pack and wheel options.

Oh and don't forget to factory order the tow pack as it costs over twice as much as a retrofit item.

Hope the above helps as you can spend months choosing the options!!!

Decide what features/options you want then look at the trim levels as you may find its better to go for a higher trim level than add lots of options to a SE trim level.

Blind spot, and adaptive cruise are essential safety items for me. Upgrade sound is good also.

Thanks all for the feedback.

Vehicle will mainly used be used by the wife during the week, and then by me on weekends. Will be staying with the 20" rims as come std on the SDv6, as does TR2 in the SE. Sorry, no pano roof as wife does not like and is pointless in my book if I install a roof rack.

Will compare cost of the SE with options to the HSE to see if false economy by starting with lower base and optioning up. I know the current quote for the SE with options is about $9k below what is shown as the base cost for the HSE. Time to speak to the dealer again.
